 | While we were planning our G3 upgrade project we looked at the things that make the G3 slow. One thing that really stuck out was the slow hard drive transfer speeds. When the Apple designed the G3 in 1999 there were no such things as Ultra ATA and SATA hard drives, most of them being limited to 33MB/s. Even if we use a faster drive we will not be able to accomplish any speed boost due to the G3's slow bus speed. |

For our G3 upgrade project we wanted a solid way to backup our files, the 700MB CD-Rs just don't cut it anymore, due to the amount of High Definition content available today.
